Lesson Introduction: Exploring Tech Art

Objective: Today, we will delve into the intersection of technology and art, examining how artists use digital media to comment on our society and personal experiences.

Hook (5 minutes):

  • Visual Stimulus: Begin by projecting a thought-provoking piece of digital art related to technology. (Below image)
  • Prompt: Ask students to take a moment to observe the artwork. Give them a minute of silence to gather their thoughts.

Discussion Starter:

  • Pose an open-ended question: “What emotions or thoughts does this artwork evoke for you?” Allow a few students to share their initial reactions to create a sense of engagement.

Transition to Questions:

  • Context Setting: Explain that art can be a powerful commentary on our lives, especially in today’s tech-driven world. Highlight that the questions they’ll be discussing will help them critically analyze the artwork and reflect on their own relationship with technology. Questions below.
